Ms. Bunmi
Casa & Jr. Casa Teacher
My name is Bunmi Falowo. I am originally from Nigeria. My family and I immigrated to Calgary in 2015 as permanent residents. It has been a pleasant experience so far. I am a mother of three lovely children and a wife to a caring husband. I enjoy singing, cooking, reading and travelling in my spare time. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (Education) in Nigeria. In addition, I received a MACTE accredited Montessori Early Childhood Diploma Credential, I also have Alberta Child Care Supervisor Certificate (Level 3), and my Alberta Teaching Certificate is in progress.
Teaching and childcare have been an integral part of my life as I have about twenty years of teaching experience both in Canada and internationally. I have been in Montessori environments for about seven years in Calgary; I currently work as a junior casa teacher at KVMA. My love for Montessori Lifestyle developed from childhood as my Mom is also a Montessorian. I love being around kids and watching them learn and grow. I am delighted to be a positive influence in your child’s class, fostering independence and a love of learning in your child. I look forward to using my skills and expertise in nurturing every child to be the best they can be.

Ms. Shiranka Hewawasan
Administrator and Program Coordinator.
I am Shiranka, a Head Teacher by profession. Guiding and nurturing children is my passion in teaching. I am coming from the beautiful Island of Sri Lanka, received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Colombo and currently reading for my Masters at the same University. In addition, I am a certified teacher of Early Childhood Education. I am equipped with a Diploma in Montessori and Child Psychology.
I’m also a mother of two teenage sons who are 17 and 18. Along with the expertise and exposure in working with children from tender years to High School, I am completing my 21st year in teaching profession. I have a true passion for working with early learners. Helping each child to learn and grow is a challenge that I have encountered in the decades of teaching. My future goal is to create a KMA community of young children with proper guidance in a positive, fun environment.

Ms. Hideka Asagiri
Nido Teacher
I hold a bachelor's degree in Social Welfare; a registered Early Childhood Educator. I got a Level 3 ECE certificate when I came to Canada in 2007 and have been working in the ECE field since then. I operated a Before and After School care at my house from 2015 to 2020 and we moved to Ontario due to my husband’s work. I worked in a daycare as a Registered Early Childhood Educator in Ontario until we moved back to Calgary. I enjoy working with children and love watching them grow every moment. I am also very passionate to help them gain and develop their new skills through play. I am a mother of two children. I enjoy hiking in summer and skating and snowboarding in winter with my family. I also like baking, cooking, and yoga.

Ms. Leena
Jr. Bambini Teacher
My name is Leena. I hold a Master of Engineering degree in Electronics from Pune University India. I have ECE Level 1. I joined Kindervalley a few months ago and I work as an Education Assistant for the Jr. Bambini classroom. I have more than 10+ years of teaching experience. I worked as an assistant professor at Engineering College Pune India. Mother of 2 children, my aim is to provide a fun and warm environment for children of all backgrounds; for them to be happy and to want to come to school! I love painting and art activities. I love spending quality time with family and friends. I believe to reach real peace in the world, we will have to begin with the children.

Ms. Mikeltie holds BSW Diploma from Mount Royal University; Child development Worker Government of Alberta; Montessori Assistant Certificate. MACTE/AMI Montessori Diploma in progress.

Ms. Upasna Saraswat
Bambini Teacher
Hi, my name is Upasana. I am a single mother and I have a daughter. I have a master's degree in psychology. I have been working as a Montessori assistant teacher for a few years. I love working with children's and enjoy the time I spend with them. I am also a Reiki master. I love to create and learn new things. I am really happy to join the Bambini classroom. I love children. I believe that I can create a wonderful learning environment with other staff members.

Ms. Anula Bedekar

My name is Anula Bedekar. As an undergraduate, I received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from the prestigious Faculty of Fine Arts at MS University, India. I spent several years travelling with my husband and eventually settled down in the picturesque city of Calgary to start a family. My hobbies include painting, culinary arts and yoga. I completed my Early childhood Montessori Diploma with MACTE accredited Montessori Teachers college, Calgary. Having spent more than 10 years of my career teaching children in reputed schools in multiple countries, I feel confident and well-poised to lead my classroom at Kindervalley Montessori Academy. I am deeply passionate about carrying forward the life and work of Maria Montessori, who is a pioneer and a shining light in the universe of early child development. The one thing I always attempt with the children in my classroom is to kindle their curiosity. I believe being curious is the golden key to an interesting and fulfilling life. I am excited and wish to be a positive force in the growth we anticipate at Kindervalley in the coming few years.

Ms. Jin have more than 10 years of teaching experience as a child care worker. She holds Montessori assistant teacher training certificate.

Ms. Sara
Nido Teacher
My name is Sara. I came from Korea. I have completed my graduation in social Welfare from the University of Korea. I am holding a license as a social worker also I have a license for teaching music, art, and Psychotherapy. I worked as a social worker in Korea. I worked as a child care educator in daycares. I came to Canada two years ago and it is an honour to meet these lovely children in the city of Calgary. I love children. I am happy to see them grow and change through education. I like playing music and I run a Piano academy. I have ECE level 1. I am preparing for the Montessori Paraprofessional Certificate. I currently working as an assistant Nido teacher at KVMA Calgary.

My name is Carmela, a Licensed Teacher – (Bachelor of Elementary Education) in Philippines and Member of Math Teachers Association of the Philippines. Twelve years of teaching experience both in Canada as a Montessori Teacher and back home Philippines as Public School Teacher for Grade Six. I have also a certificate of Foundations in the Montessori Method, Alberta and Level 3 – Alberta Child Care Supervisor

My name is Akemi, I'm from Japan. I'm glad to have a opportunity to teach and guide wonderful children.
I work as an Education assistant for the Jr. Bambini class, I have ECE Level 1.
I love playing and talking with children. My aim is to be a good role model, encouragement, emotional support, and physically support children, to help them grow and become a good citizen. In my spare time, I like baking, making fermented foods, gardening, hiking, and spend quality time with my family.

Hi, my name is Amy. I have a Bachelor of Secondary Education in English from South Korea. I worked as an Elementary Afterschool Activity English Teacher for around 10 years in South Korea. Also, I worked at the Daycare center for around 10 years with ECE 1 level in Calgary. I graduated Teacher Assistant Course at East West College last year. All children have brilliant talent from God. I am happy to help let them find it and develop it.
My favorite things are taking a walk, and listening to Love songs.

Ms. Eileen Kosasih
Music Teacher
B.A. Music, M.M., M.A. Fine and Decorative Arts and Design candidate 2021
Eileen Kosasih is a pianist, violinist, artist, and general presenter of things that she finds inspired and inspiring. She holds an M. A. in Fine and Decorative Arts and Design, a piano diploma, B. A. in Music (violin), and M.Music (orchestral conducting). Eileen is the principal 2nd violin of the Symphony of the Kootenays and freelance performs and educates all over southern Alberta and BC. She founded and conducted Calgary Arts Orchestra. Accompaniment residencies have included Calgary Multicultural Choir, Suzuki Talent Education Society, and Calgary Girls Choir. Eileen workshops for the Youth Orchestra Symposium at the Banff Centre, Alberta Clinic Line, and the Calgary Instrumental Society. One of her favourite gigs is teaching for the CPO's Phil Kids. Some of her favourite things include benchmark Abstract Expressionist paintings, her critters, and orchestral works by Bartok

Mr. Aymeric
French Teacher
My name is Aymeric and I am teaching French at Alliance Française de Calgary. I have been teaching French for 10 years now in different places such as the USA, Australia and even Latvia!
I work with every type of student: adults, teenagers, kids, toddlers but I mostly enjoy the little ones
Passionate about soccer, I try to incorporate its values when I teach as I want my students to always be in movement. I’m very glad to join the Kindervalley Montessori Academy Teaching team form this year
